7 Reasons why 90s NBA was better than todays NBA

In this video we will take a look at 1990s NBA and explain why it was better and more fun to watch than todays NBA. Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Jason Williams, Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, all are players that shaped 90s NBA.
Here are 7 reasons why NBA in the 90s was more fun to watch.
Characters we had back then.
Having personalities that actually said what they think, personalities that actually fight if you got them started, personalities that would do crazy things. Players that helped to make the game entertaining and exiciting at the same time. players that you dont see in todays game, and who would not get the chance to be themselves in todays nba. guys like dennis rodman, charles barkley, charles oakley, jerry stackhouse, danny ainge, allen iverson. reggie miller, bill laimbeer etc where a big reason why the game was so exicting back in the days. and just to give you a small taste of 90s goodies, check this out right here.
Load management.
Just imagine in the 90s, you are buying a ticket for an nba game. you saved up a lot of money to actually be able to afford a ticket. You looking forward to finally see your hero on the basketball court. for the first time live, and then this guy is not playing. and not because he is injured, but he just doesnt feel like it, or to put it in the official version, he needs to rest.
You cant tell me that this would not upset you. I for example would go crazy.
Back in the 90s, and this is a fact, players where proud when they were able to play all 82 games.
Players like jordan, malone, stockton, ewing, reggie miller, david robinson, olajuwon, all had multipal season where they played all 82 games. And if they missed games, you can be sure
it was because of injury. It was just a different mentality and pride in the 90s.

the jersey. Ok this one right here is a personal oppinion, but i am sure many of you guys will dissagree. The jerseys in the 90s where awesome. Even back then they had style, they had flair,
and just where great to look at. todays jerseys to mee look a bit liveless and without soul.
and even worse the shape and the sleeves just look terrible to me.
I personally love that mitchel and ness have brought back the old school jerseys.

the new rivalries. Now we know all about the rivalries of the 80s. celtics 76ers, celtics lakers,
bulls pistons etc. but in the 1990 there where many new rivalries born. and they where just as
physical, and just as intense as in the 80s. the knicks pacers, the knicks bulls, the knicks heat,
the bulls pacers, just to name a few. now we know we dont have real rivalries in todays game.and even if, you cant compair them. and if you dont know what i am talking about, just check this out.
the perfection of the chicago bulls. if you where not a fan of the bulls in the 90s you maybe disagree, but as a neutral fan or a bulls fan, its hard to deny that the chicago bulls of the 90s where something special. the most beautiful basketball i have ever seen. poetry in motion, and almost art. and the good thing was, that everybody wanted to beat the bulls. so everybody was giving 110 percent when they faced chicago. so you could be sure you would see great games of the 2 teams that really wanted to win.
NBA on television. Now this one I have to explain a little bit. Now in todays world, of course we have many nba shows and a way bigger selection. especially because of the internet. but i personally believe that in many things in live not having to many choices can be a good thing. I thing we were doing pretty well with 1 or 2 nba shows. Inside stuff for example. everybody was watching it. And the nba top 10 for example was a true highlight that everybody was waiting for. and everybody was watching the same thing. so you talekd with your friends about the last episode. You might disagree but its just my personal opinion.
Balance - I need this one in my last video, so this will be a short one. Now as an old school fan,
we of course noticed that the game is totally different to what we were used too. almost all the players play the same way. everybody is shooting 3s. a lot of 3s. many many 3s. the game that we used to love had a healthy balance, of players having different roles. the guards set up the offense and made sure the organized the game. also they were passers and not scorers.
the wing players where the allrounders, and the bigs where in the paint, going at it.
this balance made the game way more interesting and diverse, instead of every player being pratically the same.
