Azaz Syed is one of the finest investigative journalists in Pakistan. He is widely known for his bold and independent style of journalism. He has 20 years’ experience. At present he is working for Jang/Geo Group, the largest media house in Pakistan.
Mr. Syed has written a book, The Secrets Of Pakistan's War On Al-Qaeda. It has been translated into the Dari language. He has just returned from Kabul after spending two weeks there.
In this interview, he says that Pakistani media has not been reporting developments in Afghanistan accurately. The Afghans living in urban centers don't like the Taliban at all. They blame Pakistan for having created them. He also said that they are not confident about winning elections. So, they would not agree to taking part in elections.
He lamented that Pakistani media has been doing falsely reporting about the number of Indian consulates in Afghanistan. There are only Indian consulates in Afghanistan, he said.
