Head and Shoulders (2 of 2) Reward Challenge | Survivor: Caramoan S26E04 - Kill or Be Killed

Two members of each tribe would be on platforms, and the other six members had to alternatively place steps in the air to move them from one to the next, which had to be untied first. When they reached the last platform, they had to swim to the last short platform. Each of the eight members had to be on or above the tallest step to win.
Reward: A visit from a local bushman named Tata, who would teach the winning tribe how to improve their island life using the resources found on the island.

Kill or Be Killed is the fourth episode of Survivor: Caramoan.
Challenge: Head and Shoulders
Winner: Bikal

https://survivor.fandom.com/wiki/United_We_Stand

United We Stand (also known as Head and Shoulders) is a recurring tribal challenge that originated in Survivor: Cook Islands and required exceptional teamwork and balance.

Rules
Played in shallow water, each tribe uses a platform attached to a long pole (sometimes assembled in-challenge as a puzzle component) to transfer members of their tribe from one high platform to another. Once these teammates have reached the final platform, all members of the tribe must climb up to a smaller platform and fit onto the tower with their feet above the highest deck to win the challenge.

History
The challenge debuted in Cook Islands. In this version, the three poles were assembled as a puzzle, before the tribes began transferring their teammates (Becky Lee and Jessica Smith for Aitutaki and Jenny Guzon-Bae and Parvati Shallow for Rarotonga) between two platforms. Aitutaki won the challenge, and immunity.

When the challenge reappeared in Micronesia, Airai pioneered a creative strategy in which James Clement, with the rest of the tribe balancing the pole, carried teammates Eliza Orlins and Parvati Shallow between the platforms. This inventive solution gave Airai a lead that they converted to a challenge win, taking home immunity.

The challenge was modified in Caramoan, where it became known as Head and Shoulders. In response to the strategy employed in Micronesia, contestants could no longer move whilst their teammate balanced on the platform (now wooden square platform balanced across the contestants' shoulders). Bikal edged a tight lead, narrowly winning the challenge and a visit from a local bushman.

The challenge reappeared in Kaôh Rōng as a Reward Challenge. Following the rules established in Caramoan, the tribes had to move one member (Aubry Bracco, Cydney Gillon, and Michele Fitzgerald all attempted to stand on the poles for the blue team, while Julia Sokolowski did so for the yellow team) from one platform to another. The blue team was unable to make it more than a few steps before failing, allowing the yellow team to easily win the challenge.

Trivia
This challenge has appeared in both Fans vs. Favorites seasons (Micronesia and Caramoan).
Erik Reichenbach, Ozzy Lusth, and Parvati Shallow are the only contestants to have competed in this challenge twice.
Each of them has won the challenge once - Ozzy in his first season, and Erik and Parvati in their second seasons.

Survivor: Caramoan, also known as Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites, is the twenty-sixth season of Survivor. This season was the second season to feature the Fans vs. Favorites format, originally introduced to viewers in Survivor: Micronesia. John Cochran was crowned the Sole Survivor after achieving the second "perfect game" in Survivor history. Cochran beat out Dawn Meehan and Sherri Biethman in an 8-0-0 jury vote. It would ultimately feature two medical evacuations, and has to date produced two returning players (Andrea Boehlke and Malcolm Freberg) for subsequent seasons.

Production
This season repeats the back-to-back filming seen since 2009. Production for Caramoan began two-and-a-half weeks after Survivor: Philippines finished filming.[2] CBS announced on January 11 that the season premiere would last for 2 hours; however, on February 7, CBS changed the premiere to be only 90 minutes long.

A casting call happened the same way as it did in Survivor: Micronesia. Jeff Probst stated that they would have liked to have Shambo Waters of Survivor: Samoa and Matt Elrod of Survivor: Redemption Island back, but both said that they were "done with Survivor" and Lisa Whelchel of Survivor: Philippines was considered difficult to be brought back on back-to-back seasons due to being a mother.[3] Troyzan Robertson of Survivor: One World was originally going to be on the season but got cut in favor of Malcolm Freberg....
