Rob Stadler is author of The Scientific Approach to Evolution: What they didn’t teach you in biology and co-author of The Stairway to Life: An origin-of-life reality check. He speaks on levels of confidence in science, the origin of life, and on resolving the conflict between science and faith. Rob holds a PhD in medical engineering from the Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. As a scientist in the medical device industry, he has obtained more than 140 US patents and has contributed to devices that are implanted in millions of patients worldwide.

Dr. Ryan T. Hayes, Professor of Chemistry, has been teaching chemistry at Andrews University since 2009. Dr. Hayes has been practicing chemistry for the past 26 years, 10 years in chemistry-related businesses and 16 years in academia earning his doctorate from Northwestern University in 2002. Dr. Hayes performs research on the formation of carcinogenic molecules in burnt food, synthesis and properties of nanomaterials, and mineral content in food, water, and hair. He also manages Andrews ChemServices that manufactures and sells PAMAM dendrimers. Dr. Hayes has been speaking to schools, camps, and churches about the chemical design of Earth that sustains life on this planet.

James Carter is a biochemist who currently teaches at Loma Linda University, where he also earned his Ph.D. in 2009. His areas of expertise include: Edible vaccines, autoimmunity, infectious diseases, molecular biology, and more recently, abiogenesis and paleomolecules. He has taught 15 different courses since 2007, including immunology, biology, cell biology, microbiology, chemistry (general, organic, and biochemistry), pathology, and nutrition (human metabolism, nutritional epigenetics, and food toxicology). He has been passionate about the scientific evidence that supports an intelligent creator ever since taking his first science course 27 years ago.

Monte Fleming is a geologist, and is currently conducting research in applied sedimentology. His previous research projects have included the sedimentology of cetacean burial in the Pisco Formation of Peru, and the geomorphology of large rock basins on the tops of sandstone mesas in Arizona. He has been a college professor and a high school chemistry teacher, and enjoys making science fun for students, particularly in the context of the exquisite design we find in nature. He earned a PhD in earth science at Loma Linda University in 2018.

Dr. David Nowack, Professor of Biochemistry, teaches at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI. He taught at the high school level for eight years and continues at the college/university level for 33 years. He earned a doctorate in nutritional biochemistry from Purdue University. Joining Andrews University in 1998, he became Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in 2008 and returned to full time teaching in 2018. He received the Zapara Award for Distinguished College/University teaching while at Union College (1992) and Advisor of the Year Award (2005) while at Andrews University. Dr. Nowack believes that the principles of chemistry strongly support the intelligent design model for pre-biotic formation of life.
