Back with Episode 4 and we Chilling with Solid the Gifted, a Ndo'faya ( township slang for the sub subsection Meadowlands in Soweto) artistic architect of SA Hip Hop music. Drawing inspiration from the same tones of rhythm and history, Solid of the old school legendary Hip Hop group 3rd Wave and the new sensation Betr Gang, is cut from a similar cloth of Hip Hop greatness. A Rapper, Grafiti Artist and MPC executioner, Solid has managed to stay in his lane while carving a niche of modernism and originality. Applying the principles of production, he's created a sound and technique thats uniquely his own. Much like his namesake, he speaks the language of society and environment through his Art. We recently caught up with Solid for a catch up on the elements of beat-making, what softwares he uses for production and the His debut solo album coming up.
