Passion generates excellence. That was the message from president of the Caribbean Development Bank, Dr Hyginus Leon, to those who may feel discouraged by society’s notion that academic excellence is the only way to achieve success. He made the comments at a virtual roundtable discussion on Friday organized by Sir Arthur Lewis Community College as part of the CDB president’s official visit to his homeland, St. Lucia. A panel of alumni of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College engaged him on key topics of emerging priority areas of global and regional significance. Panelists included Rhyesa Joseph, Merphilus James, Tianah Foster and Yenver Caesar, all outstanding students during their time at the College and who are regarded as having bright futures in their respective fields.
