Chelsea agree chase for La Liga No.12 defender valued at£68m

Chelsea are reportedly set to renew their interest in securing the services of Jules Kounde after the team was unable to secure his services during the summer transfer market.

The West London giants were strongly linked with the Sevilla centre-back throughout the summer, however, the two teams were not able to reach an agreement at price to make a deal happen.

It is well known that Thomas Tuchel is keen on strengthening his backline, and French centre-back, Kounde is someone that the manager is interested in signing, which is why the Blues have not given up on signing him.

The West London giants did push to make a deal happen in the final days of the summer transfer window, however, the Blues were not planning to meet his £68m asking price.

However, according to the Evening Standard, the current European giants will be continuing to keep close tabs on Kounde with a possible move either in January or the next summer market.
