You already have three free back up retainers so don’t throw them away. Dr. Bailey recommends saving the last three set of your active retainers as back up retainers. Teeth have a tendency of relapsing backwards, so if you have your last three active aligners, you can use them to get your teeth back to how they were when you finished your treatment (assuming it’s just minor relapse). If you are using this method, be sure to go back to a full-time aligner wear schedule and wear them 22 hours a day day.
