Super Liquid Repellent Surfaces for Anti-foaming and Froth Management
We show that passive defoaming / anti-foaming is possible simply by the interaction of foam with superamphiphobic surfaces. This enables rapid foam condensation in applications such as frothing flotation cells and liquid processing industries. These chemically or morphologically modified surfaces offer an energy-/chemical passive solution towards industrial defoaming.
