The DEWALT PowerStack is an amazing battery, but how will this technology handle cold weather? Will it be worse than our current technology with 18650 and 21700 cylindrical batteries?

You "might" think these flat pouch cell batteries can take cold and heat, but are you right? We test the DEWALT PowerStack after 48 hours in the freezer and the amount of power output when frozen is surprising. Surprisingly poor. But it is the same surprisingly poor power output as our current technology.

Overall, the performance of both the DEWALT PowerStack and the XR 5.0Ah were very similar when cold and when warming up.
