How Many People Would Die If There Was a Nuclear War Tomorrow?

Thankfully, Princeton has done a study on this. Let’s say the war was between earth’s two nuclear superpowers: The US and Russia.

In the first few hours of this nuclear war, around 34.1 million people would be dead, with a further 57.4 million people seriously injured. The lucky ones would be dead first, as radiation sickness and total infrastructural collapse across the globe lead to slow deaths for hundreds of millions more!
