Must All Disciples Perform Signs & Wonders Before Men as Proof of Authenticity
There are a great number of believers who chase after men that do signs and wonders.  There are men who do signs and wonders in the name of the world, or in their own name, they don’t even believe in God whatsoever, they are totally atheist.  If an atheist who can work a sign or a wonder in the name of his own power or “magnetism” or in “the energies of the earth”, if he can deceive Christians then how much MORE could a man who claims he’s from GOD then deceive you if he is working signs and wonders (when the power comes from below).  There are some Christians who don’t believe ANYONE unless they are out on the street performing some sort or sign or doing something that THEY perceive to be wonderful.  In fact some churches don’t even allow you to be a minister or a pastor there unless you have performed some sign and unless you speak in tongues, and do faith healings.  BUT, remember that John the Baptist performed NO SIGN WHATSOEVER, yet everything he spoke about Jesus Christ was true, (John 10:41) and Jesus said about him that there was no man greater born of women than John the Baptist! (Matt 11:11/Luke 7:28)  John truly was a man of God, and he sought after the things of GOD.  We need to make sure also that we are TRULY seeking FIRST the Kingdom of God and the righteousness of God and doing the things HE REALLY REQUIRES.  Are you seeking after the Kingdom of God or are you seeking after sings and wonders?  May the grace of Jesus be with you.
