The KwaZulu-Natal ANC has said it accepts the outcomes of the conference, despite its failure to secure a spot in the party's top seven leadership. The province backed Dr. Zweli Mkhize as their presidential candidate, but Mkhize lost to ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa who got elected for the second term. None of the ANCs top seven national executives are from KZN, and this is the second conference in a row where the province has failed to make it to the top structure of the party's national leadership.
