Hey it’s Raj from 3CB.
Ronald Araujo had a clash of heads with teammate Gavi - the front of his head hitting Gavi’s temple - and went down moments after trying to keep playing. He was immobilized in a stretcher and taken off the pitch in an ambulance to the hospital.
The hospital work-up will check/confirm for concussion symptoms, scan for any skull fractures, and check for brain bleeds which can increase intracranial pressure and worsen neurological symptoms. His stay at the hospital will depend on severity of the injury, as this could just be precautionary or he could stay longer if medical staff find something worse.
Certainly a scary scene for the starlet CB and I’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
