Last night we were contacted about a mother and two kittens who showed up at someone’s house in pitiful conditions. As the homeowner looked at them in complete shock they knew they needed to find a rescue to help and that is where we came in.
Momma Twitch and her babies are very ill and are all suffering from severe upper respiratory infections. Both of the kittens eyes are filled with so much infections that it has damaged them beyond belief. Their eyes seemed to be glued shut due to the extended period of time they went untreated. We immediately began cleaning them and and quickly discovered that underneath the dried infection, one of the kittens eye is protruding out of the socket while the other one still cannot open his eyes. We have cleaned them to the best of our ability without causing more pain or trauma. Each of them have been started on medications including antibiotics to help fight the infection. We took Twitch and her babies to the vet today for further treatment and we will keep you updated on how they progress.
