Isaac Pitre: Resurrection Power Quickens Dead Spirits to Life (Philippians 3:10)
Isaac speaks at Real Life Church in Macon, GA, on June 7, 2022. Quotes: “Adam cursed us all into spiritual death. Before we received Christ, we were breathing and talking, but our spirits were producing dead works - dead spirits produce dead works. Nothing can change until you awaken dead spirits to life. Dead spirits don't have an awareness of God because it died when sin entered the Garden of Eden. The same thing happened to you that happened to Jesus in the resurrection; he took that dead nature out of you and put the nature of His son on the inside of you.”

Paul said, in Philippians 3:10, "Oh, that I may know him and the power of his resurrection.” In other words, I am chasing after what happened to me when I got born again. I'm trying to find out the full extent of what happened to me. We need to be on a similar chase to find out the full meaning that God sent Jesus and Jesus went to hell and back to give you back the nature that he possesses. When you get that thing in you, you will purpose to stop conforming to the world’s thinking. Because there is something on the inside of us that was supposed to change the world, it's the new creation.
Philippians 3:12 (AMP) says, “Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of being Christlike] or have already been made perfect, but I actively press on so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me and made me His own.”
Paul is on a mission to find out why God laid hold of him. In other words, you’ve got to understand that Paul is the one that God gave this revelation to. Paul was a dead man who He persecuted the church. He held the clothes of the people stoning Stephen, the first martyr. He hated those that called upon the name of Jesus.
But then he says in Galatians 1 15, "But when it pleased God…” who called him from his mother's womb… “to reveal Himself in me." Paul is saying, in effect, "I found out something about Jesus that Peter, James and John didn't even know." Because everything they got, they got it because they heard from Jesus; they were walking with him, sleeping with him, and eating with him. I wasn't there. Everything I got was revealed to me - I got it by revelation. That revelation was so deep to Paul, so deep that the moment God revealed it to him, he says in Galatians 5:16, "I did not confer with flesh and blood." It was so deep I couldn’t even speak about it at first.
That's what I want! I want to have conversations with God that are so deep they are hard to explain. Paul says, in Galatians 3:18, “Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.” I just called Peter and James, and he began to unfold to them the things that God revealed to me – things that were, he says in 1 Corinthians 2:7, “hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.” Things hidden from all ages and dispensations.
In the midst of this revelation he states in Philippians 3:13-14 (AMP) “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” We've been called to something so deep that we can spend the rest of our lives pursuing it – gaining deeper and deeper revelation of Christ. It should stir us to reject “normal” Christianity. It should convict us to reach higher for that prize and step away from “fleeting pleasures of sin’s temptations.”
Look what happened to Peter – cussing Peter - who denied that he even knew the Lord, running for cover! But when the new creation happened and his spirit came back to life, and then the Holy Ghost came upon him, that same scared Peter stood up on the day of Pentecost and said, "Excuse me, let me clear my throat." Be stood in front of the multitudes and preached Christ with such power and clarity that 3,000 souls came to God. They shook kingdoms, they turned places inside out and upside down. I came in here tonight to preach you into who you are, not even who you're going to be. Look at your neighbor and say, "What are you going to do with it?" That's the question, what are you going to do with it?
